Experts Available To Discuss Increased U.S. Hybrid Vehicle Registrations in 2003

--

TOPIC: Registrations for hybrid vehicles showed an increase of 25.8 percent in the United States last year, according to an article by The Associated Press. The data, which comes from R.L. Polk & Co., shows registrations reached 43,435 in 2003. Most of the registrations for vehicles with gasoline-electric hybrid engines are in California. Other states including Florida, Virginia and Washington showed a high number of people who opted for a hybrid model. Experts expect the number to grow as gas prices continue to climb and consumers are offered more choices of hybrid vehicles.
