icarz Announces New Executive Vice President

NEWTON, N.J.--April 22, 2004--icarz, Inc., the leading software innovator in the store and distributor systems, today announced appointment of Sanjay Apte as the Executive Vice President. In this role, Mr. Apte will have responsibility for software development, delivery and support.

Mr. Apte is an accomplished business executive, and brings to icarz more than 17 years in technical management, software engineering and development of cross industry solutions. As a technologist and strategist with extensive experience in successfully delivering enterprise applications to market, he will provide added vision and leadership to the Company.

Mr. Apte joined icarz after having worked for the company in a consulting capacity advising on technology strategy and deployment. He had previously been with Scient/iXL and Sybase. At Scient/iXL he was the Global Managing Partner leading worldwide Financial Services Technology practice. Prior to that, Mr. Apte was the Senior Vice President for Sybase/ Financial Fusion, where he was responsible for the delivery of integrated financial solutions to leading financial institutions worldwide. He holds an MS in Computer Sciences from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and an MBA from Bombay University.
