Thrifty to Pay 5% Commission on Corporate Rentals When Booked on THRIFTY.com

TULSA, Okla., April 22 -- Thrifty Car Rental, a subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. today announced it would pay a five percent travel agent commission on eligible corporate rate programs only when booked on www.THRIFTY.com. Effective May 1, 2004, the commission will not be paid on corporate reservations made using other booking mechanisms.

The commission change applies to agencies worldwide for corporate customers traveling in the U.S. or Canada. Some exceptions may apply.

"In order to provide the best possible rental rates for our corporate customers, it is necessary that we direct this business to THRIFTY.com," said Bob Thunell, Staff Vice President of National Sales for Thrifty Car Rental. "Agents who help us keep costs down by booking on THRIFTY.com will earn five percent commission."
