Clean Energy Founder Boone Pickens to Lead Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Compressed Natural Gas -CNG- Fueling Station at Love Field

Miller, Pickens and other city officials will be present at a groundbreaking ceremony for a new fueling station to serve the general public as well as the City of Dallas, Dallas County, Dallas Independent School District and other commercial users of vehicular CNG. The Love Field location will help promote alternative fuel usage by airport shuttle services and provide increased availability to the airport's expanding fleet of CNG-fueled service vehicles. The City of Dallas has more than 900 CNG vehicles and plans to expand usage to 1,200 CNG vehicles by the end of 2004. The new station represents a public/private partnership between the City of Dallas and Clean Energy, leveraging the city's funds and taxpayer dollars while helping to benefit the environment by encouraging clean transportation.
