Scarallo Dials it in in First Round at Long Beach
LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 16, 2004) Joey Scarallo got behind the wheel of
the No. 6 Chevrolet Corvette, sponsored by ROH Wheels, Group A/Autotrend and
Toyo Tires, for the first time since last yearıs Grand Prix of Puerto Rico.
The first Motorock Trans-Am Series practice session of the 2004 Grand Prix
of Long Beach was held today at 12:30 p.m. PDT.
³The car actually did well,² said Scarallo, who due to a transponder failure
was unable to record a time. ³The track was green, so our grip was not as
what we would have liked, but we should have more grip in the second
practice this afternoon. Except for maybe a few sway bar adjustments, we
will not change anything for the second practice.
³We will let the track come to us,² added Scarallo.
³Itıs like riding a bike, it all came back to me and the rust came off,²
said Scarallo of getting back behind the wheel.
The oldest of four siblings, Scarallo, 25, lives in Smithtown, N.Y. Scarallo
manages Autotrend Tire and Wheel Company Inc., his familyıs wheel importing
business in Lindenhurst, N.Y.
Second round Trans-Am practice is scheduled for 4:15 PDT.
