MANN+HUMMEL Receives GM Supplier Award

PORTAGE, Mich., April 15 -- MANN+HUMMEL has been named as a General Motors Supplier of the Year for the twelfth straight year for its overall business performance in providing GM with parts and services.

The award was presented to MANN+HUMMEL GmbH CEO Dr. Dieter Seipler during recent ceremonies at the Hilton Prague Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic. Participating at the award presentation in addition to Dr. Seipler was Otmar Seehorsch, the company's vice president of sales.

GM also recognized MANN+HUMMEL GmbH for being one of only two companies to have won the Supplier of the Year award every year since its inception in 1992.

The award is given annually to suppliers selected by GM for their contributing role in improving the company's performance. Suppliers are reviewed each year by a team of GM engineering, purchasing, manufacturing and logistics executives. Winners are chosen for their performance in the key areas of quality, service, technology and price. This year, General Motors honored 77 suppliers for their excellence throughout the past year.

"MANN+HUMMEL is representative of the type of company we want to grow with as we drive to be the best worldwide," said Bo Andersson, vice president, GM Worldwide Purchasing, Production Control & Logistics. "The company has a balanced focus on performance and behavior that supports GM's priorities. They are a role model for all of our suppliers."

"This award is very important to MANN+HUMMEL," noted Claude Mathieu, president of MANN+HUMMEL USA Inc. "It is a clear indicator that we are on target in our efforts to provide high-quality, technically advanced products. We are especially honored to be one of only two companies in the world to receive this prestigious award every year since its inception."
