KleenAir Announces Major Increase in Sales

IRVINE, Calif.--April 15, 2004--KleenAir Systems Inc. (OTCBB:KAIR) in its recently released 10K annual report, indicated an increase in sales from $51,235 in 2002 to $734,993 in 2003, a fifteen-fold increase.

In the face of continued delays by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resource Board in approving a testing protocol for the Company's application for Retrofit Verification, the commencement of revenue from its European operations has started KleenAir on its path to commercialization of its NOx Reduction technology.

The UK business is expected to generate major revenue increases during 2004 primarily from the anticipated mandate for the upgrade of London taxicabs to Euro 3 standards. The Company's NOxMaster(TM) NOx Reduction and Particulate Reduction system has proved very effective at achieving current emission standards with taxis that are up to 15 years old and is the only product listed in the updated Energy Savings Trust (EST) Cleanup Register SCRF category.

Orders are also expected from a variety of bus companies in London for KleenAir's heavy duty systems, including Transport for London upgrade programs and for the London sight-seeing double-decker buses.

A major sales program is underway aimed at Local Authority Air Quality Management Areas (AQMA). The Company has retained the services of Sig Lofnes, formerly Manager of Fleet Operations for the London Borough of Hounslow, and an expert on Local Authority fleet requirements and emission standards.

The Company has an innovative program to assist Local Authorities in securing the funds necessary to install KleenAir Systems emission reduction devices.

"It is gratifying that the Company has started on its path to the commercialization of its patented technologies with active programs in the UK, Denmark, China and India, while during the current year the Company's EPA and CARB Retrofit Verification Programs should lead to the development of the US market," said Lionel Simons, President.

KleenAir is at the cutting edge of automotive emission reduction technology including Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Diesel Particulate Filters, Diesel Oxidizing Catalysts and advanced catalytic technology that significantly reduces nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon and particulates. These pollutants have been shown to be a major contributor to heart and lung disease.
