Bosch Appoints New President, Mexican Operations And Vice President Original Equipment Sales

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., April 13 -- Robert Bosch Corporation has named Charles Visconti to president, Robert Bosch S.A. de C.V., Mexico and Sheryl Hyman to vice president, original equipment sales for Asian, European and heavy duty customers.

In his new role, Visconti will oversee the Bosch business in Mexico. His responsibilities will include representing Bosch with key customers and contacts in Mexico and heading shared central services in the areas of legal coordination, human resources, public relations and finance to support the development of the various Bosch activities.

Visconti, originally from Paris, has been with Bosch since 1999. He first served as vice president electronic systems in Farmington Hills before joining the board of the Energy and Body Electronic Division in Schwiebergingen, Germany in 2001. Since 2003, he has served as senior vice president central sales in Farmington Hills. He earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Arts et Metiers, Paris and a master's degree in business administration from ESSEC, Paris.

In her new position, Hyman is responsible for customer interface to all Asian and European OEMs within the North American region. She also is responsible for Bosch's heavy duty truck business and North American marketing and planning functions.

Hyman has been with Bosch since 1988, serving in various sales planning and accounting positions. Most recently she served as vice president, original equipment sales, General Motors division. Hyman earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Lafayette College, Easton, Pa. and a master's degree in business management from the University of South Carolina.

Bosch designs and produces precision automotive components and systems sold to vehicle and powertrain manufacturers worldwide. These include systems and components for gasoline and diesel injection, airbag components, braking systems, telematics, as well as small motors, electrical and electronic equipment.

Robert Bosch Corporation, the wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, is responsible for North American operations.

Note: Visconti will reside in Mexico and Hyman resides in Plymouth, Mich.
