About the Emergency Rescue Market

The $3 billion emergency rescue market has notable short and long-term prospects. Key drivers include urban sprawl, the aging population and resulting need for more emergency services, aging fire department fleets, and increased federal funding and local community support for firefighters since 9/11. According to statistics from The Department of Homeland Security, the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program awarded $695 million to 8,600 first responders since June 2003 and authorized new grants totaling $750 million for first responders in 2004.
