TACO BELL "SPEED DATE" EVENT WITH DALE EARNHARDT, JR. About: Ladies, start your engines! Taco Bell is setting up four female customers on an eight-minute dinner date with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. on Thursday, April 22nd as part of its "Win a Speed Date with Dale" Sweepstakes. The speed-dating event will be held at Talladega Super Speedway, the fastest racetrack in NASCAR. Last month, thousands of female fans entered the national sweepstakes at www.tacobell.com by submitting a receipt order number for the new Fiesta Taco Salad. The winners receive a speed date with Dale, travel for two to Talladega, Alabama and a four-night stay. While males were not eligible to enter, they are able to attend the speed date as the "third wheel," or guest of a winner. Where/ Thursday, April 22 When: TALLADEGA SUPER SPEEDWAY (Media Center) Talladega, AL 6 - 6:45 p.m.: Speed Date Event 6:45 - 7 p.m.: Q&A with Dale Jr. and winners Attendance must be confirmed by April 16th to secure appropriate credentials and interview opportunities Background: The "Win A Speed Date with Dale" Sweepstakes kicks off the re-introduction of the Fiesta Taco Salad, which includes new crunchy lime-seasoned tortilla strips and tangy, chunky salsa. It's now available as a permanent menu item at participating Taco BellŪ restaurants for $3.79 (price may vary by location). It also celebrates the Company's first-ever racing sponsorship with Chance 2 Motorsports team, co-owned by Teresa Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. The Taco Bell racecar will be driven by Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Martin Truex, Jr. in the Busch Series.
