ASA'S KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY DEBUT ON MAY 7

PENDLETON, Ind. (April 8, 2004) -- For the first occasion in its 37-year history, the ASA
National Tour will be showcased on the state-of-the-art 1.5-mile oval of Kentucky
Speedway on Friday, May 7. This event will be the first of two stops for ASA at Kentucky
with the second one scheduled for Saturday, September 18.

"I'd like to welcome ASA as part of their strategy in expanding that series," said Kentucky
Speedway General Manger Mark Cassis "They are looking to do more speedway racing.
It'll be great for us to have them twice here at Kentucky. ASA brings a high-performance
stock car with a great history and national television package. I'm sure that the people in
our area understand motorsports and in particular ASA. The ASA car is very different
and that makes it more interesting and from an entertainment perspective more fun. I
like that ASA is new and original with its competitive package."

It will mark the first time for ASA in the Commonwealth of Kentucky since an event at the
now-closed Louisville Motor Speedway in June of 2000. Short track legend Butch Miller
won that race marking the 14th time for ASA to compete in Kentucky. Stock car greats
Dave  Sorg,  Ed  Howe,  Mike  Eddy,  Charlie  Glotzbach  and  Joe  Shear  are  among  the
drivers that won at Louisville. Twelve of the 14 races were held there during the 1973
through '79 time period.

ASA competed from 1973 through 1987 at Queen City Speedway in Butler Co. Ohio, just
north of Cincinnati. The high-banked .50-mile oval produced some fabled battles in the
19 races conducted in that era. Winners included Miller, Bob Senneker, Butch Lindley,
Mark Martin, Shear and Dick Trickle.

Kentucky Speedway boasts a 1.5-mile tri-oval racing surface that has hosted events and
racing series sanctioned by nearly every major racing organization in the United States
since its opening in 1999. The facility has competitor and fan amenities second to none
including more than 66,000 grandstand seats. It is located directly off I-71 in the middle
of the Cincinnati, Louisville and Lexington metropolitan areas.

The inaugural ASA event at Kentucky is set for Friday, May 7, with the first of two
practice sessions beginning at 10 a.m. Jani-King Pole qualifying is set for 3 p.m. and a
fan autograph session is scheduled for 6. The ASA Racing Kentucky 125 goes green
at 8 p.m. (local)
