Synacor to Offer NASCAR Content as Part of Bundled Premium Service

  Synacor Drives NASCAR.COM's All-Access Nextel TrackPass Onto EarthLink And Numerous Other ISPs' Start Pages  



NASCAR.COM, the premier destination for NASCAR fans, has partnered with Synacor, the leading provider of technology supporting the delivery of bundled online services, to include TrackPass through Synacor's unique platform, Portelus. TrackPass is a paid content service that provides fans live track coverage of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series and NASCAR Busch Series events, in-car audio of nine top Nextel Cup drivers for every race and exclusive multimedia features.

TrackPass provides live timing and scoring coverage of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series qualifying, racing and practices, NASCAR Busch Series qualifying and races, as well as multimedia features that include condensed video versions of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races, extensive multimedia archives, and live audio race and news coverage. PitCommand, a premium TrackPass feature, is a live streaming GPS telemetry application that tracks the position of all 43 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series cars in real-time. This Emmy award winning application allows TrackPass members to see RPM, speed, braking and fastest lap speed data. During race day, PitCommand viewers can choose how they want to follow the race, with driver-specific dashboards, full-field leaderboards, Top-10 mode or an interactive Viewer's Choice mode. In addition, PitCommand viewers can follow Nextel Cup Qualifying to view how each driver's qualifying laps compare to the pole sitter's laps.
