Networkcar GPS enabled quick recovery of business assets valued at over $50K

SAN DIEGO, April 8 -- Networkcar(R), a Reynolds and Reynolds company , announced today that its stolen vehicle recovery product facilitated the recovery of $50K in mobile assets belonging to a top Los Angeles audio firm.

Paul Scott, owner of Eden Audio, went inside his home to unload groceries only to find after returning to his garage that his mobile DJ van had disappeared. Remembering his Networkcar system, he quickly logged into his personal Networkcar web site and located the van. Shortly after placing a police report, the authorities were tracking Paul's van based on its GPS location. After 15 minutes and a brief highway chase, the suspect was apprehended and the van and mobile DJ equipment were recovered.

When asked what it would have required to replace the stolen equipment, Paul Scott replied, "It would have been painful because the equipment is so specialized and each subsystem has a customized travel case." He estimated his loss to be $50K for the equipment and van and approximately $12K in lost revenue if it had not been recovered.

"I don't normally think about my Networkcar system, but since it helped recover my van and equipment, I am recommending the system to all my friends," said Paul Scott. This was the second time that Scott's vehicle was stolen and recovered by the use of Networkcar.
