Ringers Weekend Wrap-Up: Vegas
Las Vegas – (April 5, 2004) Four Ringers Gloves drivers advanced to the
finals at the 5th annual SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas
Motor Speedway.
In Pro Stock, Greg Anderson defeated fellow Ringers driver Kurt Johnson
for his third win in four races.
Anderson beat out KJ with a 6.849 RT/201.31 mph run.
Whit Bazemore and his MATCO Tools Stratus made his first final round
appearance of the season challenging Phil Burkart’s Checker Schucks Kragen Monte
Carlo.
Unfortunately Bazemore’s engine blew, giving Burkart the second win of his
career.
Tony Schumacher also grabbed his third win in four races with a win over
Ringers racer Larry Dixon in Top Fuel.
Schumacher won with a 4.525 ET/331.53 mph run.
