Nissan Reinforces Communications Function Worldwide

PARIS, April 2 -- Nissan has announced management changes worldwide designed to strengthen the company's global communications capability.

Simon Sproule, Nissan North America Corporate Communications Vice President, who joined Nissan just last year, has been appointed Vice President for Global Communications and Investor Relations, effective April 1, 2004. Sproule will be based at the company's headquarters in Tokyo.

He will be replaced by Frédérique Le Grevès, currently Vice President, Communications at Nissan Europe. Le Grevès, who joined Nissan last year, will move to Los Angeles from July this year. No replacement has yet been announced.

Scott Vazin, currently Director or Corporate Communications for Nissan North America will take on a newly created role as General Manager for Corporate and Product Communications at Nissan Europe, based in Paris.

Claude Hugot, currently General Manager Communications for Nissan France adds to his responsibilities the role of General Manager Events and Motorsports Communications for Nissan Europe.

Frank Shepherd, currently Section Manager, Corporate Communications for Nissan Europe, is appointed Manager, Global Affiliates Communications, with responsibility for Nissan's General Overseas Markets. He will be based at the company's Tokyo headquarters.
