Torvec Ice Removing Developments

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Apr. 2, 2004 -- Torvec, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: TOVC) announced today that its majority-owned subsidiary, Ice Surface Development, Inc. ("ISDI") has recently completed a series of tests which demonstrated the market viability of ISDI's technology for removing ice from automotive windshields and other vehicle surfaces.

ISDI recently demonstrated its prototype technology in its Hudson, Massachusetts laboratory to leading Japanese glass manufacturers. The prototypes demonstrated rapid ice removal (a few seconds at 0o F), reasonably low power requirements, excellent visual clarity and light transmission. Additionally, the demonstration provided additional evidence that the de-icing technology will also provide a sensor for ice or fog accumulation on glass and the rapid removal of both. Interest has also been strong from leading European and Canadian glass companies who will be visiting the Hudson facility in the coming weeks.

Torvec also announced that Nissan Diesel America and other companies are now reviewing Torvec's business plan for marketing its Full Terrain Vehicle (FTV(TM)). By way of clarification, Torvec's FTV(TM) business plan is not a conventional business plan for presentation to investment bankers and similar funding sources. Rather, it delineates in detail all of the steps, components, personnel and capital necessary to enable Torvec to actually manufacture, produce and market the FTV(TM), including by way of example, the location and design of physical facilities, the structure and organization of production lines, methods of distribution, personnel requirements, detailed cost analysis and the like.

Torvec also announced that its website- www.torvec.com will be completely updated in the near future.
