Porsche Cars North America Reports March 2004 U.S. Sales

Best March in History for Porsche in U.S.

ATLANTA, April 1 -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars (Boxster, 911, Carrera GT and Cayenne) in the United States and Canada, today announced U.S. retail sales totaled 2,637 vehicles in March, up 23 percent compared to the same month last year. It was the best March in history for Porsche in the U.S., with the previous record of 2,545 cars set in March 1986.

"The Porsche Cayenne has now been on sale for a full year," said PCNA CEO Peter Schwarzenbauer. "With three different models, V6, V8 and V8 Turbo, the Cayenne has quickly made its mark for sales and product excellence in the premium sport utility segment. It has successfully expanded the Porsche brand."
