Audi Reports March 2004 Sales

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 1 -- With the onset of spring, Audi of America's sales for March increased 17.1 percent compared to the previous March. For the month, Audi sold 7,469 versus 6,380 in 2003.

Audi's top selling model, the A4 posted an increase with sales of 3,905, a 28.3 percent increase over last March. Additionally, both the A4 Cabriolet and A8 reported gains. March A8 sales were 465 versus 82 units sold during the previous year and the A4 Cabriolet sales of 909 were up 9.1 percent over last March.

Audi Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) business reported another double-digit increase in March. CPO results were 2,149, a 21.1 percent increase from the previous year when sales were 1,775. March represents Audi CPO's best, all- time sales record since the company began tracking pre-owned sales in 1991. The A4 and A6 continue to be the volume models in the CPO program.
