ARKONA Receives Ford Motor Co. Certification

SALT LAKE CITY--March 30, 2004--ARKONA Inc. (OTC BB: ARKN), the emerging leader in dealer management solutions for automobile and powersports dealerships, announces it has been awarded official certification for dealership to factory communications with Ford Motor Co. Ford Motor Co., the second largest manufacturer of vehicles worldwide, and ARKONA have been working on this integration for 24 months to verify that data is accurately transferred to and from Ford's systems. This cooperative effort required significant resources and completes ARKONA's integration with all major U.S. automobile manufacturers. ARKONA is committed to integrate forthcoming Ford Corporate Dealer Systems features in the future.

"Two and a half years ago, we were frustrated with the three major dealership management systems. They were expensive, user unfriendly and slow to embrace the technology advancements that were available in the industry. Then we discovered ARKONA," said Bob Woodhouse, dealer co-principal, Woodhouse Ford Inc. -- Blair, Neb. The Woodhouse organization operates one of the largest Ford dealerships in the nation with new Ford retail sales of more than 5,600 units last year. "There are significant advantages of ARKONA versus their competition. One is the ability to get to our data quickly and make use of it. Another is the overall cost to operate, which is about half that of the other DMS vendors. We are convinced that ARKONA has added to our success. Any time you can reduce the amount of time it takes your people to do a task, you add value to them and your store. ARKONA's integration with Ford adds additional efficiencies and benefits for our people."

With the new integration, ARKONA is able to meet the specific needs of Ford dealerships and provide an improved breed of dealer solutions for the more than 5,000 Ford and Lincoln Mercury franchises. Dealers now have access to a more robust and cost-effective alternative to managing and exchanging information with Ford Motor Co.

"We have been waiting for ARKONA to receive Ford certification," said Tommy McMath, dealer principal, Arceneaux Ford. "With Ford certification in place, we've decided to implement ARKONA's dealer management system immediately."

Listed below are highlights of the capabilities Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealers now have with their ARKONA dealer management system:

-- Direct Warranty Entry (DWE)

-- Electronic Parts Return Entry (EPRE)

-- Dealer Financial Statement Entry (DFSE)

-- Certificate of Vehicle Origin Entry (COVE)

-- Integrated Conceps Sales Entry (ICSE)

-- Price Protection Entry (PPE)

"Integration with Ford Motor Co. is ARKONA's most ambitious OEM initiative to date. This is a market primed for the ARKONA solution and one which has been exploited by legacy vendors for years with their proprietary interface to Ford," stated Rich Holland, president, ARKONA Inc. "Now Ford dealerships are at liberty to select a vendor based on features and a value proposition. With Ford's official certification, ARKONA is prepared to aggressively market its Web-based solution to Ford and L/M dealerships. These dealerships will appreciate ARKONA's ease-of-use, productivity tools, powerful analysis and lower cost of ownership."
