Electronics a Key Topic at SAE Automotive Dynamics, Stability and Controls Conference
TROY, Mich., March 29 -- Many of the systems in today's automobiles are governed by advanced electronics. This holds true for the management of handling, stability, steering, braking, and traction control systems. The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International) will hold a three day conference on these ever-developing topic areas entitled Automotive Dynamics, Stability, and Controls, May 4, 2004-6 at Cobo Center in Detroit, MI.
This conference is designed for engineers, managers and executives representing automotive OEMs and supplier companies who have a job assignment or interest in vehicle dynamics and stability components and systems. Representatives from academia and government who work in vehicle safety and dynamics technology areas are also encouraged to attend. There will be an exhibit on Tuesday and Wednesday at Cobo Center featuring companies showcasing materials, components, software, and technologies related to vehicle dynamics and stability.
Heinz Leffler, Vice President of Longitudinal Dynamics at BMW, will give the opening keynote presentation at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4 entitled, "Technology and Architecture of Future Chassis Control Systems". That presentation will be followed by a panel discussion on Electronic Stability Control featuring technology experts from Bosch, Continental-Teves, TRW, and BMW.
