Mitsubishi Motors Appoints New Vice President, Public Relations

CYPRESS, Calif., March 25 -- Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. today announced the appointment of Dotty Diemer as its new vice president of public relations, effective March 30. Diemer will be responsible for North American public relations in the United States and Canada for the Sales and Marketing Division. This includes all aspects of product and corporate public relations, as well as community relations.

"Dotty brings a wealth of public relations experience from both the agency and corporate sides of business. Her auto industry knowledge, understanding of consumers and outstanding leadership skills make her an excellent fit for our integrated marketing team," said Ian Beavis, senior vice president, marketing, product planning and public relations.

Diemer most recently served as senior vice president at Rogers & Associates in Century City, Calif., developing and implementing strategic communications programs for private and public sector clients. Previously, she spent nearly a decade at Hyundai Motor America in public relations and government affairs, where she earned the top PR spot and also served as the company's Washington, D.C. lobbyist. She has served as a guest speaker at national and local events on media relations, marketing communications and youth marketing. Diemer holds a master's degree in public administration/intergovernmental management from the University of Southern California and a bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego.
