Rockwell Automation Names Hagerman General Counsel & Secretary
MILWAUKEE--March 24, 2004--Rockwell Automation, Inc. announced that Douglas M. Hagerman will become Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary effective May 1, 2004, pending approval by the board of directors. Hagerman will succeed William J. Calise, Jr., 65, who will retire later this year.Calise will become Senior Vice President and Special Counsel and, until his retirement, will work with Hagerman to help ensure a smooth and successful transition. Hagerman and Calise will report to Keith D. Nosbusch, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Hagerman previously served as a litigation partner in the Chicago office of Foley & Lardner LLP and also as co-chair of the Securities Litigation, Enforcement & Regulation Practice Group. He represented litigants in all types of securities disputes. He is experienced in providing counsel on corporate governance matters such as audit committee practices, financial reporting processes, codes of ethics and compliance measures, and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Securities & Exchange Commission, and exchange rules.
Hagerman is a graduate of Harvard Law School (cum laude) and of Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa. He studied economics and accounting and is a certified public accountant. He currently resides in the Milwaukee-metro area.
