VERSATILE ARCA LINCOLN WELDERS TRUCK SERIES RELEASES 2004 SCHEDULE

TOLEDO OH (3-24-04) The ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series, quickly becoming renowned for its diversity, has released its 2004 schedule to include 13 championship events in six states.

The schedule, which has a versatile mix of both dirt and pavement tracks, also includes the first-ever road course appearance for the ARCA truckers in their sixth consecutive season of competition.

Virginia Int'l Raceway in Alton, VA, which encompasses a 1.1-mile road course, will host the series on September 4, Labor Day weekend. Other new venues include the half-mile dirt Terre Haute Action Track (IN), the quarter-mile Lawrenceburg Speedway dirt (IN), the .4-mile paved Calhoun County Speedway (MI) and the paved, multi-cornered Tri City Motor Speedway (MI), the only track on the schedule that appears twice.

Perennial stops at Midvale Speedway (OH), the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds mile-dirt (IL), Flat Rock Speedway (MI), Lake Erie Speedway (PA), Salem Speedway (IN) and Toledo Speedway (OH) will help round out the '04 schedule.

In addition, the series, after a four-year absence, will return to Kil-Kare Speedway (OH) for a 100-lap shoot-out in July.

The events at Lake Erie and Salem will accompany the ARCA RE/MAX Series in double-header action weekends while the DuQuoin race will go off under the lights on opening day of the annual state fair in late August.

The season will stretch from its show-opener at Tri City on May 30 to its season finale at Toledo on September 25.
