Terry Borcheller - Homestead preview
home to race
Terry Borcheller takes every opportunity to return to his home state of
Florida, so he is looking forward to this week's Grand-Am Cup race at
Homestead-Miami Speedway, just 35 miles south of his childhood home in Hialeah, Fla.
Borcheller, now living in Gainesville, Ga., will drive the No. 44
TheRaceSite.com Racing Porsche 996 with Craig Stanton of Long Beach, Calif. They hope to
repeat their win in the series season opener at Daytona International
Speedway, but Borcheller expects strong competition from a new factory entry.
"With the factory Cadillacs coming into the series, it should raise the
competition bar," he said. "They have been testing for a year, so they're going to
be really strong. Craig and I are coming off our Daytona win and we're trying
to win the championship, so it should be a good race."
