ArvinMeritor Gains Long Term Supply Agreement With Transrent

BIRMINGHAM, England, March 23 -- ArvinMeritor, Inc.'s Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) business group today announced that it will provide trailer axles to be used on trailers ordered by Transrent.

The contract is based on a long term agreement centered on a unique product support package offered to Transrent by ROR, the European Trailer Systems manufacturing arm of ArvinMeritor. The package is based on the unique RORcare.com web based system that offers the customer direct access to the records of their trailer maintenance.

Transrent operates a rental fleet of approximately 5,000 trailers and an additional 2,000 via Transrent's leasing division, UTF. A majority of these are already fitted with the LMC axle from ROR, which includes the market leading Cartridge Bearing Hub. Transrent operates throughout the UK and supports both long term and short-term lease agreements across all sectors of the market.
