Bryan Herta Finishes Seventh at Phoenix

AVONDALE, Ariz. (March 21, 2004) -.XM Satellite Radio driver Bryan
Herta earned his seventh career Indy Racing LeagueŽ IndyCarŽ Series top-ten
with a seventh place finish in today's Copper World Indy 200 at Phoenix
International Raceway.
Herta started the race from the ninth position and ran there until his first pit
stop on lap 67.  The XM Satellite Radio crew had a lightning fast pit stop which
moved Herta up to sixth.  Herta continued to run in the top-ten through the rest of
the event and ended the day in seventh.
Herta's Andretti Green Racing (AGR) teammate, Team 7-Eleven driver
Tony Kanaan earned his second career IndyCar Series win and his second
consecutive win at Phoenix.  Today's win is the third for AGR, including Herta's
win at Kansas in 2003.  Scott Dixon finished second ahead of Herta's other AGR
teammate Dan Wheldon.  Dario Franchitti finished 17th after an accident on lap
181.
The IndyCar Series moves to the 1.5-mile Twin Ring Motegi in Motegi,
Japan for round three of the 16-race IndyCar Series schedule.

Bryan Herta, Driver, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"I'm happy we got the finish we did in the XM Satellite Radio car.  We had
a difficult weekend, we encountered different problems every day but even so we
still salvaged a decent result.    Obviously want to do better and I'm sure we can.
I'm happy for Tony (Kanaan), with his win and Dan's podium finish it's good for
the team to get a little bit of momentum going into Motegi."

George Klotz, Team Manager, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"We are happy to get points today and chisel away towards the
championship.  I don't think we had the car to win today.  We had one bad break,
but that's how it goes. We are happy to get out of here with some substantial
points for the XM Satellite Radio team.  I'm happy for our teammates Tony
(Kanaan) and Dan (Wheldon). They both had great days today."
