RINGERS GLOVES WEEKEND WRAP-UP

 
Gainesville, Fla. – (March, 21 2004) Two Ringers Gloves drivers advanced to 
the finals at the 35th annual MAC Tools Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway 
in Gainesville, Fla.

   In Pro Stock, Greg Anderson captured his second “Wally” of the year by 
defeating Jeg Coughlin with a .045 ET and a speed of 204.91 mph.

   Tony Schumacher also grabbed his second “Wally” of the season with a win 
over Darrell Russell in Top Fuel.

   While Russell grabbed the hole shot off the line, he spun the tires 
allowing Schumacher to rocket past and take the win with a 4.612 ET and 312.60 mph 
run.

   Ringers would like to send one of our racers some good luck wishes.

   American Speed Association racer Todd Kluever and his TK2 Racing team were 
involved in an accident on their way down to the ASA season opener at USA 
International Speedway in Lakeland, Fla.
 
   While driving through Georgia, one of Kluever’s crew members fell asleep 
at wheel.  The truck veered off the road, but the driver woke up in enough time 
to regain control of the vehicle.  The trailer ended up on its side in a 
ditch in the end, destroying the trailer and part of the toterhome cab.

   The race cars and pit boxes in the trailer suffered cosmetic damage at 
first look, but Kluever and crew will take a more thorough look at their 
equipment on Monday morning.

   Kluever and his crew escaped uninjured and through ASA owner Steve Dale’s 
friends in the Atlanta area, Kluever will continue onto Florida later in the 
week to compete in the SK Hand Tool 200.
