KANAAN PUTS TEAM 7-ELEVEN MACHINE SECOND ON PHOENIX GRID

       AVONDALE, Ariz. (March 20, 2004) - Team 7-Eleven driver Tony Kanaan
qualified second with a lap of 174.291 miles per hour and completed a front row sweep
for Andretti Green Racing today at Phoenix International Raceway.
       The 29-year old Brazilian, who is the defending winner of the Phoenix event, will
start alongside teammate Dan Wheldon, who claimed the first pole position of his Indy
Racing League® IndyCar® Series career in the #26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam Honda-
powered Dallara.
       Kanaan picked up Saturday morning where he left off yesterday, after running
the third quickest speed over the course of Friday's practice sessions. The driver of the
#11 Team 7-Eleven Honda-powered Dallara climbed to second on the speed chart
during an 80-minute session Saturday morning before going out to back up his time in
qualifying 90 minutes later.
       Helio Castroneves qualified third (174.168 miles per hour) and was followed by
his teammate Sam Hornish Jr. (173.945). Defending series champion Scott Dixon
rounded out the top-five (173.367).
       The green flag for Sunday's Copper World Indy 200 is set to fly just after 4 p.m.
(EST). The 200-mile event, which is the second of 16 on the 2004 schedule, will be
televised live on ABC.

       "The whole Team 7-Eleven did a great job, and so did everybody at AGR and all
my teammates. This is what happens when you have a great team. We work really well
together. We're friends off the track and we work for one goal on the track. The
important thing is for AGR to win a championship this year.
       "I'm so happy for Dan. This is his first IndyCar Series pole so I'm really glad for
him. We'll see what happens. Today was just a nice perk for us. Tomorrow is what
really matters."

teams working very, very closely together to try to get the best race cars for qualifying.
