Free Outdoor Events, Specialty Tuner Car Display, Fantasy Photos & More
NEW YORK, March 18 -- With the 2004 New York International Automobile Show just around the corner, Show producers have prepared an unprecedented 10-day program full of fun activities for the whole family.
In addition to the nearly 1,000 new vehicles on display inside the Javits Center, the show is proud to offer a number of exciting, free outdoor activities. Events include: an appearance by NASCAR Touring's Joey McCarthy, a Hispanic Day extravaganza featuring many of the hottest Latino singers and comedians, an Urban Tuner and Specialty Vehicle Salon featuring specially 'tricked-out' cars and trucks, Corvette Day celebrating 50 years of America's love affair with the Vette, and the New York/New Jersey Lotus Organization which will be displaying the best Lotus cars including the soon-to-be available Elise.
Show visitors will also be among the first to see dozens of new cars and trucks revealed during the exhibition's press preview, all the latest concept cars, exciting exotics, timeless classics, and of course nearly 1,000 new cars and trucks-including many '05 and even some '06 models.
Souvenir hunters will have the opportunity to have their photo taken next to a sensational 6.2-liter 580 hp, V12 Lamborghini Murcielago at the Fantasy Photo display on the South Concourse.
Event Highlights: April 7th to 18th Urban Tuner Specialty Vehicle Display This tented display will feature top-of-the-line tricked-out tuner vehicles as well as the latest in street customizing from Scion, Subaru, Honda and Acura, along with celebrity vehicles from DUB Magazine. Saturday, April 10th Official Opening Day Celebrations Back by popular demand...SHOW & GO CUSTOMS is proud to present national champion low-riders, hoppers and the craziest car and truck dancers from the 2003 Lowrider Tour. Tuesday, April 13th Hispanic Day (1 - 9pm) Come and enjoy a full day of live music and comedy and meet the stars of Mega and Amor. Wednesday, April 14 City of NY Mobile Visitor Information Center (MoVic) The new Mobile Visitor Information Center (MoVIC) will be on display to give you the latest on what's happening in NYC. Thursday, April 15 JT MASE Motor Sports Exhibit NASCAR's Joey McCarthy meets fans and signs autographs. Friday, April 16 Cast Your Vote and Choose Your Favorite in our "Sweet Street Ride" contest. The fastest and most awesome cars in the Tri-state! Saturday, April 17 Celebrate "Fifty Years of the Corvette" 50 Years of the 'Vette, presented by Corvettes of Westchester. Sunday, April 18 The New York & New Jersey Lotus Enthusiasts Organization will feature the hottest Lotus Cars including the all-new Elise.
Kicking off the springtime selling season, the 2004 New York International Auto Show will feature an impressive collection of cutting-edge design and remarkable innovation. More than four floors of displays from the world's automakers will feature their newest vehicles and futuristic concept cars. More than 1,000 cars and trucks will be on display at the Javits Center, filling 846,000 square feet of exhibit space. In addition, dozens of World and North American vehicle debuts are expected at the Show.
