Bridgestone's Shimazaki To Join Nokian Renkaat Board

STOCKHOLM March 17, 2004; Dow Jones reported that Nokian Renkaat Oyj said Mitsuhira Shimazaki, director of sales administration at Bridgestone Europe NV/SA, will be proposed as a new board member.

If the annual general meeting accepts the proposal, the number of Nokian Renkaat's board members will increase to eight.

The company's articles of association, say that the board may consist of a minimum of three members and a maximum of eight members.

The AGM will be held on March 26.
