Modine Radiator Warranty Gets an Update, Now in Three Languages
RACINE, Wis.--March 15, 2004--To better meet the needs of the diverse markets it serves, the Aftermarket Division of Modine Manufacturing Company has produced its new Gold Card Lifetime Limited Warranty in three languages: English, Spanish and French. In addition, the new warranty booklet has been reformatted to make it easier to read and locate information.Due to the complexities of modern cooling systems, professional radiator installation and maintenance is recommended by the Aftermarket Division of Modine Manufacturing Company. For flushing and filling, coolant selection and air bleeding, Modine feels there's no substitute for professional experience and access to shop manuals.
The use of distilled water as well as the proper coolant mix is now required. Failures caused by contaminated water or improper coolant are clearly not manufacturing defects covered by the Gold Card Warranty. Should a consumer experience a defect in materials or workmanship, a dated original purchase receipt or a copy must accompany each returned radiator. The Gold Card Warranty is no longer offered in Canada. When U.S. citizens are traveling in Canada, they will not be able to obtain warranty coverage.
The limited lifetime aspect of the warranty still applies to the first purchaser at retail for as long as the qualifying vehicle in which the Modine replacement radiator was originally installed continues to be owned. Two lists of part numbers only used in commercial applications are not covered. The lists specify radiators having warranty durations of 12 months or 24 months. Additional clarification of items not covered by the Gold Card Lifetime Limited Warranty has been added to the "Warranty Stoppers" section of the booklet that is packed in each radiator's shipping carton.
