NHRA LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING SERIES - NHRA SOUTHEAST DIVISION

 RACING UNDERWAY AT ORLANDO SPEED WORLD DRAGWAY
ORLANDO, Fla. - The 2004 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series continues this weekend at Orlando Speed World Dragway for the second of seven events in NHRA's Southeast Division.
After the opening rounds of qualifying earlier today, former division champ Mike Saye of Johnston, S.C., leads the Competition Eliminator field with his '92 Cutlass. In the No. 2 spot is Roan Mountain, Tenn., driver Tim Freeman. Parma, Michigan racer Charlie Westcott is in third. 
Filling the two of the top three spots in Super Stock are Ohio racers Dave Layer of Dayton in the top spot and Gary Russell of East Sparta in third. Brewster, N.Y., runner Vito Savino is currently in the No. 2 spot. 
Claiming the No. 1 qualifying position in Stock Eliminator is Northeast Division racer Jim Boudreau of Tewksbury, Mass.  Boudreau leads the field over Leesburg, Va., racer Bruce Noland and Jeff Warren of Clinton, S.C., who are qualified second and third in the Stock field. 
After one round of qualifying in TracStar Satellite Systems Top Sportsman, Ronnie Davis of Commerce, Ga., leads the field. His 6.890-second time secured him in the top spot over Gilmer Hinshaw of Burlington, N.C.  and Dave Saul of Winter Park, Fla.   
Saturday's racing action will feature the continuation of qualifying in Comp Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street and TracStar Systems Top Sportsman.
