Toyoda Gosei North America Garners Top Toyota Launch Award

TROY, Michigan, March 9 -- TG North America Corporation announced today that their affiliate company, TG Missouri (North American manufacturer of steering wheels, air bags, and interior / exterior parts) of Perryville, Missouri has received the coveted Superior Launch Award from Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America (TMMNA). The award recognizes the efforts for the launch of the 2003 Sienna minivan, which is manufactured by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana (TMMI).

Award consideration was based on individual plant effort as well as quality and delivery performance. Specific areas of consideration included 1) special efforts to overcome late sourcing of business or delays in design, 2) extraordinary effort in implementing engineering changes, 3) implementation of new technologies, 4) value-added / value engineering suggestions and acceptance, 5) delivery at each trial event, and 6) quality.

Excellent and Superior awards were recognized on Monday, March 1, 2004, during a reception dinner and awards ceremony held at the Marriott River Center in Northern Kentucky.
