New NBC Series ``Jeep World of Adventure Sports'' Debuts April 10; Pat Parnell is Named Host of Action Adventure TV Program

PORTLAND, Maine--March 8, 2004--NBC Sports, the Jeep(R) brand and sports marketing firm Aura360 today announced that "Jeep World of Adventure Sports," a new action-adventure sports series, will debut on Saturday, April 10 on the NBC Sports network. Pat Parnell will host the new program.

"Jeep World of Adventure Sports" will feature an array of adrenaline-inspired feats and adventurous sporting events from around the world. Anchor events will be complemented by behind-the-scenes features on athletes, expeditions and the world of action-adventure sports.

The inaugural 90-minute program will feature the Ouray Ice Festival's world premier ice climbing competition, Jackson Hole's World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb and the Philips U.S. Open snowboarding championships.

Future episodes will include record-breaking first descent attempts, big-wave surfing, offshore power boating, globally acclaimed multi-sport traverses and off-road motor rallies.

"NBC is devoting top talent and producers to provide an entertaining look at a group of action-adventure events that, while popular around the world, have not been traditionally shown on American television," said Jon Miller, senior vice president, programming, NBC Sports. "We're excited to debut this new series."

Top athletes at featured events will join Parnell as guest commentators and will be profiled during the program. A world-class action-sports commentator, Parnell hosted NBC's Gravity Games for five years, and was a commentator on NBC's coverage of the snowboarding competition at the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics. He has also covered the Vans Triple Crown series and the MTV Sports and Music Festival (1996-2001), among numerous other events.

"Jeep, the original 'go anywhere, do anything' brand, has always gotten adventure sports participants and their fans to the heart of the action," said Jeff Bell, vice president, Chrysler and Jeep Marketing. "Now, together with NBC and Aura360, the Jeep brand will bring the heart of the action to millions of viewers."
