KURT JOHNSON PULLS THE TRIGGER FOR DESERT WIN
CHANDLER, Ariz. (March 7, 2004) – The sun wasn’t the only thing shining this
weekend at Firebird International Raceway.
Kurt Johnson and his AC Delco Cavalier walked away with the victory at the
20th annual Checker Schucks Kragen NHRA Nationals.
K.J., using his Chicago Pneumatic 7750 Turbo 2.0 ½” Impact Wrench to tweak
his Chevrolet-powered Pro Stock, defeated Dave Connolly by a 0.0008 second
margin of victory (approximately three inches).
K.J. heads into the MAC Tools Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla., with a
five point lead over 2003 Pro Stock Champion, Greg Anderson.
