Nissan Europe Reports February Sales
TRAPPES, France, March 8 -- Nissan Europe reported total sales of 37,088 vehicles (1) in February 2004, an increase of 3.8% over the same month last year.
In the two month period from January to February 2004, Nissan Europe sold 77,475 units, 8.7% up from last year.
Highlights by Country
- Nissan in France sold 3,370 units in February, registering a 9.8% increase compared to last year. In the two month period from January to February 2004, Nissan sold 6,847 units in France, up by 7.8% compared to last year.
- In Germany, Nissan sold 4,000 units in February, representing a decrease of 5.9% compared to last year. In the two month period from January to February 2004, Nissan sold 7,200 units in Germany, 7.4% down from last year.
- In Italy, Nissan sold 7,003 units in February, up 6.6% against last year. In the two month period from January to February 2004, Nissan sales in Italy rose to 14,080 units, up by 37.9% compared to last year.
- Nissan in Spain sold 4,501 units in February, up 16.7% compared to last year. In the two month period from January to February 2004, Nissan sales in Spain rose to 8,731 units up by 17.5% compared to last year.
- In the UK, Nissan sold 4,251 units, an increase of 8.8% compared to last year. In the two month period from January to February 2004, Nissan's sales in the UK rose to 11,486 units, up 3.3% compared to last year.
Model Highlights
- The Micra was Nissan's best-selling European model with a total of 11,682 unit sales in February representing an increase of 8.3% against the same month last year. In the two month period from January to February 2004, total Micra sales reached 23,579 units, up by 33.1% compared to last year.
- X-TRAIL sales increased by 41.3% in February against the same month last year to 4,464 units. In the two month period from January to February 2004, total X-TRAIL sales reached 9,338 units, up by 31.4% compared to last year.
- Pickup sales increased by 11.7% in February against the same month last year to 2,646 units. In the two month period from January to February 2004, total Pickup sales reached 5,845 units, up by 9.7% compared to last year
