Environmental Solutions Worldwide, Inc: Files for California ARB Level II Certificate for Diesel Catalyst

TELFORD, Pa.--March 4, 2004--Environmental Solutions Worldwide, Inc. (ESW) (OTCBB: ESWW) is pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive testing program to validate and verify performance of its Particulate Reactor(TM) high performance Diesel Oxidation Converter (DOC). The Company has now submitted the necessary documents to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for review. Ultimately, the test program results must be reviewed and approved by CARB but, ESW management is excited about having successfully completed the required testing for verification. ESW is working with Fleetguard Emission Solutions to commercialize the product.

ESW achieved the required emissions reduction requirements after the compulsory 1000 hours (approximate equivalent 50,000 miles) durability test. The long-term durability of ESW's substrate design, as well as the catalyst emissions reduction performance were confirmed over the course of the comprehensive nine-months testing program. The results of this test program have established that the ESW high performance DOC consistently reduced Particulate Matter (PM) by greater than 50% and Hydrocarbon (HC) and Carbon Monoxide (CO) by up to 75% using CARB certified 350 Parts Per Million (PPM) sulfur based diesel fuel. This specific verification program involved the testing of a 1993 school bus with a 7.3 liter International ITEC diesel engine which is one of the OEM engines used in school and transit buses in North America.

The Particulate Reactor(TM) used for this verification program, was specifically designed by ESW catalyst engineers for use on school bus and transit applications for the purpose of reducing engine exhaust emissions. The requested verification however, will also apply to many other applications. All 1000 hours of the durability, and final emissions testing were preformed using CARB approved fuel and without the use of fuel additives. This is the same fuel found at all major gas stations and depots across the country.

Key features of the Particulate Reactor(TM) are:

-- Demonstrates particulate reduction levels greater than 50% for many applications

-- Operates using ultra low sulfur fuel, Or California & 49 state standard low sulfur No. 2 pump grade diesel

-- Does not require additional maintenance in many applications.

-- Does not require fuel additives to achieve this level of performance

-- Fits into the space of existing mufflers

John A. Donohoe, Jr., ESW's CEO, President and Chairman commented, "Just with the recent President Bush administration announcement of $65 M in new funding being made available to support school bus retrofit, ESW's management believes that verification of this product will give ESW a major advantage for future potential sales in the US marketplace not to mention the global opportunities. The Bush Administration identified in their press release what is considered the mainstream DOC emissions reduction product currently available. The DOC performance mentioned in that press release stated "These catalysts can reduce particulate matter (PM) by at least 20 percent, carbon monoxide (CO) by 40 percent and hydrocarbons (HC) by 50 percent." In contrast, the ESW high performance DOC used for this CARB verification program reduced PM by greater than 50% and HC and CO by up to 75%.

Bush Administration Proposes Major New Funding to Reduce School Bus Emissions

"President Bush's 2005 budget proposal will include an unprecedented $60 million in new funding to expand the Clean School Bus USA program, a national partnership to reduce the emission of air pollutants from school buses. The increase from $5 million to $65 million was announced by EPA Administrator Mike Leavitt during a visit to a Pittsburgh-area elementary school that is equipping its school bus fleet with state-of-the-art emissions control devices."
