DaimlerChrysler Sales Increase 1 Percent in U.S. for February 2004

-- Chrysler Group Year-Over-Year Sales Increase Five Consecutive Months

-- MBUSA Has Best February Sales Ever

NEW YORK, March 2 -- DaimlerChrysler reported sales of 188,821 passenger vehicles in the U.S. in February 2004, an increase of 1 percent over February 2003. Chrysler Group, which consists of the Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge brands, posted sales of 172,647 vehicles in the U.S., up 1 percent. Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) posted sales of 16,174 units, up 1 percent.

Detailed information on vehicle sales for MBUSA and Chrysler Group will be announced later today in press releases issued by the groups.
