Recession What Recession? Porsche February 2004 U.S. Sales Up 84%
FRANKFURT, March 2, 2004; Reuters reported that German sportscar maker Porsche said unit sales in North America rose 84 percent in February from a year ago to 2,185 vehicles.
That compares to a 66-percent jump in January when the world's most profitable automaker said that strong demand for its chunky but sprightly Cayenne off-roader had more than off-set falling sales of its traditional 911 and Boxster models.
Porsche sells about half of all its cars in the United States
