GEICO Promotes Warren Klawitter to Vice President and Actuary

WASHINGTON, March 1 -- GEICO's board of directors recently announced the promotion of Warren Klawitter to vice president and actuary. Prior to his promotion, he served as assistant vice president and actuary since 1994.

A resident of Gaithersburg, Md., Klawitter joined GEICO in 1976 as an actuarial assistant, and subsequently held various positions within GEICO's actuarial department. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. He is a Fellow of the Casualty and Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
