Fastest Way to Florida Race is This Sunday at Metro Detroit's Kart 2 Kart

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich.--Feb. 2, 20047, 2004--Open Practice at 12:00 Noon and the Race begins at 4:30 PM

WHAT: Kart 2 Kart, Indoor Karting and Conference Center kicks into high gear as the site of the Fastest Way to Florida race. Sixty lucky drivers are being chosen to compete for a Warm Destination Getaway for two from the hundreds of entries received at Metro Times and 106.7 The Drive radio.

"The race combines the head-to head Grand Prix style qualifying races with the top 10 finishers competing Indy Style for the prize package," said Aaron Bambach, Kart 2 Kart General Manager and professional FIA Racing Driver. "We expect to meet all the participants on the track during open practice sessions throughout the weekend," Bambach continued.

The drivers are expected to reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour in their bid to win the trip for two, sponsored by Spirit Airlines and Bob Neugebauer Travel.

The sixty qualifiers continue to be notified by cosponsors Metro Times and 106.7 The Drive through Friday. Drivers: Must be 21 years of age to qualify for the Fastest Way to Florida contest which roars to life at 4:30 PM Sunday afternoon. Sponsor Jim Causley Pontiac-GMC will have a New GTO on display at the 54,000 square foot indoor 1/5th mile Grand Prix kart racing facility.
