Grundig Brand to Premiere in Europe
Auto show to showcase integrated company, new products and concepts
GENEVA, Feb. 27 -- Delphi Corp. will debut its new mobile multimedia brand, Delphi Grundig, for the first time to the public at next week's Geneva Motor Show.
"We have combined our product portfolio, technical knowledge and broad distribution capability to help us become an even stronger supplier of mobile infotainment in Europe," said Rainer Hermeling, president, Delphi Electronics & Safety Europe.
Delphi, one of the world's leading suppliers of vehicle electronics, acquired Grundig Car InterMedia System, one of Europe's leading car audio brands, last November and will exhibit the combined portfolio for the first time at the show, which opens to the press on March 2.
At the motor show, Delphi Grundig will display its entire product range at Hall 2, stand 2022. Innovative car audio solutions, new mobile multimedia systems that can be integrated into the vehicle, new products of the CarCine series, and the presentation of various future technologies for a digital mobile world will be the focus of interest at the Delphi Grundig exhibit.
Delphi Grundig supplies high-quality car audio equipment and individual multimedia solutions as standard equipment to different car manufacturers. The organization is focused on fulfilling the technical requirements for integrating areas such as broadcasting (digital and analogue tuner technology), infotainment (DVD, MP3, games, information, navigation), connectivity (linking home, office and vehicle using wireless technology) and telematics and logistics applications for commercial vehicles. The Delphi Grundig standard ensures that the products are not only of a high quality but are also simple to operate and have an excellent design.
"The synergies resulting from Delphi and Grundig Car InterMedia System combining their efforts in Delphi Grundig have already taken effect after only a few weeks. This has already given us a competitive edge today and will help us in our future projects and strategies," said Udo Krauss, director of Mobile Multimedia Europe at Delphi Grundig.
To cover the European mobile multimedia market completely, Delphi Grundig is focusing its business on four distribution channels: the dealer business, standard equipment business, importers' business, and the telematics and logistics solutions in the transport and traffic area. Delphi Grundig serves dealers in 17 central European countries with its sales network and also uses distributors to maintain a presence in the Baltic states and the eastern Mediterranean area.
