Stronghold Announces Three New Customer Contracts with Toyota, Honda and Ford Dealerships

These dealerships, which have been recognized by respected industry organizations for their leading size, superior customer service and marketing excellence, reflect Stronghold's acceptance as a best-in-class provider of technology solutions to improve business performance and maximize profitability potential for automotive retailers.Goudy Honda, which according to American Honda Corporation is one of the largest Honda dealers in the world, signed a long-term contract with Stronghold for its business improvement solution. Dedicated to making automobile purchasing and ownership easier than ever before, Goudy Honda is based outside of Los Angeles, CA and has 1,400 new and used vehicles available at its retail location as well as on the Internet.
Demonstrating substantial performance improvement using DealerAdvance(TM) and a sales force committed to proven practices, in the latest month Goudy Honda increased the number of customer follow-up appointments it set by 62% with only a 10% increase in new prospects. Contributing to the dealership's profit is an average appointment show rate of 60% and an average appointment close rate of 40% since the system was implemented.
Bobby Murray Toyota/Mitsubishi of North Carolina contracted for DealerAdvance(TM) after determining that Stronghold's technology and solutions best enable the delivery of superior customer service and improved sales processes. Celebrating its 20-year anniversary, Bobby Murray Toyota/Mitsubishi has met the transportation needs of over 25,000 customers. The dealership is the only retailer in North Carolina and one of fifteen nationwide that has been awarded the J.D. Power and Associates Certified Retailer for four straight years. Bobby Murray Toyota/Mitsubishi also has received the Toyota President's Award for Customer Handling, which is considered to be Toyota's highest honor for its dealers. The dealership signed a multi-year contract with Stronghold to help it continue its award winning tradition while improving its profitability.
Faced with ice storms on the east coast that forced the dealership to close for three days in January, Bobby Murray Toyota/Mitsubishi improved its monthly vehicle close rate by 12% as compared to two months earlier when DealerAdvance(TM) was installed. For three full months using Stronghold's solution, Bobby Murray Toyota/Mitsubishi's appointment close rate averaged 40%. During the same period, the use of DealerAdvance(TM) contributed to the dealership achieving an average monthly vehicles sold through appointment as a percentage of total vehicles sold rate of 32%, which is an increase of 17% from the month prior to system installation.
Expanding Stronghold's already strong presence in California was the signing of Stan Morri Ford Mercury as a DealerAdvance(TM) customer. The dealership was rated "Best-in-Class" online in Autobytel's 2003 Customer Satisfaction Index and Survey. To capitalize on the prospects that walk and call into the showroom as well as the leads that are generated from its online site, Stan Morri Ford Mercury had Stronghold deliver a solution that leveraged the benefits of technology to simplify and automate daily activities at the dealership.
Using DealerAdvance(TM) to enable a mobile sales force while providing management with a means to track performance and follow-up compliance in real-time, Stan Morri Ford Mercury has substantially increased its appointment show and close rates. In the latest two-month period, the dealership's appointment close rate increased by over 200% with an appointment show rate increase of 10% as compared to the prior two-month period. Since installing DealerAdvance(TM), the dealership has averaged an appointment show rate and close rate of 41% and 33%, respectively.
Through the three new contracts, Stronghold deployed 47 handheld personal digital assistants (PDAs) and 27 desktops personal computers (PCs) equipped with DealerAdvance(TM) that are networked for wireless and wired configurations. Each dealership utilizes a driver's license scanning station for fast and effective capture of customer information. Stronghold personnel provided complete training of the system and, as part of the standard Stronghold agreement, continues to provide on-site and phone customer support.
