Key Automotive Group Names Daniel Ajamian President of Key Safety Systems, Inc.; Promotes Tim Nelson to President of Key Plastics L.L.C.
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.--Feb. 2, 20045, 2004--Key Automotive Group (KAG) today announced that, effective immediately, Daniel Ajamian has been named president and chief operating officer of its affiliate, Key Safety Systems, Inc. KAG also announced that Tim Nelson has been promoted to president and chief operating officer for the North American operations of the company's other principal subsidiary -- Key Plastics L.L.C. B. Edward Ewing, who continues as chairman and CEO of all of KAG's affiliated companies, made the announcement.Ajamian most recently had served as president and chief operating officer of Key Plastics North America. Previously, he was Group President for the company's Trim Products Group. He joined the company in 2001.
Prior to that, he worked as chief financial officer of two Carlyle Management Group companies (Aerostructures and U.S. Marine Repair). He also spent 15 years with General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin in a broad range of operations and financial management positions. Ajamian holds a bachelor's degree from California Polytechnic University and a master's degree in business administration from the Claremont Graduate School.

Since 2001, Nelson was Key Plastics' Group President for its Exterior and Underhood Products division. Having joined the company in 1985, he was promoted to vice president of operations for Key Plastics' Trim Products Group in 1999, following a series of operations and engineering assignments in the company's Pennsylvania operations and corporate offices. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Penn State University.
In announcing the appointment, Ewing said: "As both our employees and customers know, Tim Nelson has played a vital role in Key Plastics' success. He has demonstrated outstanding business judgment in building relationships in the automotive supply chain and has a keen sense of vision for the organization. Tim will bring those qualities to his new post."
