ProQuest and Kia Motors America Sign Exclusive Data Access Agreement
ProQuest will Publish an Electronic Parts Catalog for Use in Kia Dealerships in the United States
RICHFIELD, Ohio, Feb. 25 -- ProQuest Automotive announced the signing of an exclusive agreement with Kia Motors America, Inc. (KMA). Within this multi-year agreement, ProQuest Automotive will publish an electronic parts catalog (EPC) for use in more than 640 KMA dealerships as part of their fixed operations solution.
"Our affiliation with ProQuest will enable our retailers to quickly and accurately fill parts orders, reduce fixed operation costs and streamline the parts and service ordering process. We chose ProQuest as our partner because of their commitment to helping us improve productivity and increase profits in the parts and service area," noted Don Pearce, KMA Vice President, Parts & Service.
ProQuest EPCs streamline the parts look-up and ordering process into mere seconds, making them critical sales tools for a dealership's parts and service department. Parts information for Kia's entire vehicle line from 1993 to current models will be contained on a single CD-ROM. The EPC will provide a number of user-friendly methods for quickly accessing accurate parts information, including VIN filtering and technical bulletins. ProQuest will also provide technical support for the Kia EPC.
"We are pleased that Kia Motors America has chosen ProQuest as their single-source provider of Kia parts information," said Corey Roberts, Vice President, Product Management and Global Accounts of ProQuest Automotive. "We're confident that Kia and its retailers will experience first-hand the value ProQuest brings to a dealership by improving both order accuracy and the consumer's overall experience."
