DaimlerChrysler African-American Employee Network to Sponsor Visit Of Dr. Dorothy Height, February 26 & 27
* Height, noted author and Chairwoman of the National Council of Negro Women, will address Chrysler Group employees, sign copies of her memoir
The DaimlerChrysler African-American Network (DCAAN) will sponsor the visit and book signing of Dr. Dorothy Height, noted Civil Rights activist, author, and Chairwoman of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW). Dr. Height will be the keynote speaker at the DCAAN employee forum. Dr. Height, who is 91, will speak about her life as a Civil Rights activist and also sign her memoir, "Open Wide the Freedom Gates." More than 200 employees are expected to attend.
Dr. Height's visit will culminate the celebration of African-American History Month at Chrysler Group.
