Mazda North American Operations Selects Systemware, Inc. for Enterprise Content Management
DALLAS--Feb. 2, 20044, 2004--Software provides 700 Mazda North American Dealers with browser-based accessibility to all enterprise content |
Systemware, Inc., an innovative leader in enterprise content integration software today announced that Mazda North American Operations, the importer and distributor of Mazda vehicles, parts and accessories in the U.S., has selected Systemware's Xact suite of software as the company's repository for all vehicle sales, parts, service, and warranty reports accessed by Corporate, Field and Dealer personnel. Xact is the enterprise content management solution which provides seamless access to any content, regardless of size, format or location.
"One of the most important benefits that the Systemware solution provides is improved information availability to our dealers. Our 700 dealerships can now easily access corporate information on demand via the Internet," said James DiMarzio, CIO, Mazda North American Operations. "Basically, Systemware's solution has reduced the amount of work required to do business within our organization."
Xact provides online access to reports created by legacy applications and other enterprise application systems through a Web browser. Xact also provides Mazda with automated e-mail distribution to more than 3,000 defined users.
Prior to Xact, Mazda stored more than 64,000 unique reports and a total of 1,200,000 report versions. There was no easy way to review all of the business indicators for both sales and service. The company can now easily access such archived content as quarterly, monthly and weekly sales, customer care ratings, parts inventory, customer retention, financial, and marketing reports.
With Xact, Mazda will be able to repurpose its 10 years of enterprise content to help them to make better and faster business decisions through analyzing the information that was difficult to access through its legacy system. Mazda selected Xact because it is easy to use, distribute, maintain, and it can truly scale to Mazda's specifications.
"Xact is truly an enterprise content integration solution. It connects a significant amount of Mazda's archived content from all of Mazda's system applications, and is easily accessible to users so they can search for their required information using a pull rather than a push strategy," stated Dan Basso, president and CEO, Systemware, Inc.
