Mazda Appoints Brian Colianni to Vice President, Customer Service and Parts Operations

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 24, 2004 -- Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today announced the appointment of Brian P. Colianni to vice president, customer service and parts operations, effective March 1. Colianni will be responsible for service and parts, technical service, logistics inventory and distribution, parts supply, and parts and service financing. In this position, he will help achieve Mazda's goal of improving the car-buying experience by working with dealerships to integrate technology and the Mazda lifestyle. Colianni previously was global business strategy and planning manager for Ford's Customer Service Division.

"Brian's extensive experience in service and parts, field operations and other arenas of the automotive business make him the ideal candidate to lead our Customer Service and Parts Operations organization," said John Mendel, executive vice president and chief operating officer for MNAO. "We welcome him to the Mazda team and look forward to learning from his many years of experience in the auto industry."

Colianni has a bachelor of science degree in industrial and vocational education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and a master's of business administration in global studies from Duke's Fuqua School of Business. He joined Ford in May, 1979.

Mazda North American Operations is responsible for the sales and marketing, customer parts and services support of Mazda vehicles in the United States. Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., MNAO has more than 700 dealerships nationwide.
