Moulton to Head AVL's North American Affiliate
PLYMOUTH, Mich., Feb. 23, 2004 -- AVL, a global leader in engine and powertrain development, today announced the appointment of Larry D. Moulton as President and CEO of AVL North America, Inc.
"Larry comes to AVL with what could be the greatest experience in the U.S. testing industry, the last eight years of which have been focused in the automotive powertrain testing area," according to Don Manvel, Chairman and CEO of AVL Michigan Holdings, Inc. "His leadership positions have spanned entrepreneurial start-up organizations as well as many Fortune 500 corporations."
Moulton comes to AVL from MTS Systems Corporation in Eden Prairie, MN, where he was Vice President in charge of Corporate Business Development. He previously served as Vice President for Vehicle Dynamics and Powertrain Technology for MTS from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, Moulton was General Manager for DSP Technology in Ann Arbor.
A Bunker Hill, Illinois native, Moulton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois.
