Davin Wheels Races into the Performance Wheel Market with Speed; First Non-Spinning Wheel Introduced During NBA All-Star Weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--Feb. 1, 20047, 2004--Davin Wheels is venturing from the spinning heritage that made it famous with the introduction of Speed, a non-spinning performance wheel. Celebrities, athletes and special guests were treated to a viewing of Davin's latest innovation during the National Basketball Players Association All-Star Gala at Los Angeles Center Studios on Saturday evening.

Speed is a three-piece, rotary-forged wheel that boasts hub-centric application to custom fit performance vehicles. It sets itself apart from the performance wheel market with an exclusive one-spoke, carbon fiber call out, which is available in red or black. Davin's tradition of superior design and engineering is evident in Speed's graphic aluminum overlays, custom bolt head designs and painted inner rims that minimize the appearance of unsightly brake dust build up.

"Davin pioneered the spinning wheel industry and has consistently produced the most innovative and stylized product. With our 2004 collection, we wanted to truly surprise the auto enthusiast who was wondering 'what's next' for Davin," said Darius Billings, director of marketing, Davin Wheels. "By debuting Speed, a non-spinning, performance wheel, we are introducing Davin to an entirely new customer and we continue to keep the industry on its toes - waiting for the next big thing from Davin."

Speed is available in two styles, SP 1 and SP 2. SP 1 features a five-spoke design, while SP 2 is designed with seven spokes. Each style is available in 19-, 20- and 22-inch diameters with a chrome or painted finish. Speed has a variety of fitments for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Corvette and Viper, as well as luxury performance vehicles like Mercedes and BMW.

Davin's 2004 collection also includes the Davin Revolution 5.0, Davin BLAK and Davin Wire. Except for Speed, all Davin products feature its patented freespin technology, which creates maximum rotation both when the vehicle is moving and stationary. Speed and the entire 2004 collection can be purchased at select distributor in the United States and Canada. For a list of distributors, please visit www.davinwheels.com.
